On this show we discuss the daily problems that challenge our community and the solutions that have been made possible by these nonprofit organizations.
Solutions is a TV series that highlights the work of individuals and nonprofit organizations that seek to improve the quality of life in our communities.
This is a good opportunity for each nonprofit organization to educate the public about their cause and create an awareness that could help to raise funds and recruit volunteers. Some of the topics we will address with these organizations on the show include mental health, suicide prevention, adult literacy, bullying, drug abuse, poverty, hunger, homelessness, racial equity and discrimination and so much more.
The host of Solutions is CHERYL LEWIS HAWKINS who is a media producer, director, writer, and historian. She is the co-founder and CEO of Prosperity Media Enterprise, Inc., a nonprofit media arts organization founded in Washington, DC. As senior producer with UDC-TV, the cable TV station of the University of the District of Columbia, Hawkins produced and hosted “UDC Books,” one of the longest running cable TV- book shows in the country. Cheryl along with her colleague Eugene Miller both serve as producers of the Solutions TV series. Eugene Miller has an extensive background in producing and directing TV public service announcements and educational programs for broadcast and cable tv stations. He served as the Production Manager of the UDC Cable TV station and currently is the Vice President of Prosperity Media. As an award winning nonprofit organization, located in Washington D.C., Prosperity Media strives to use the power of media for good; by making TV and radio/podcast production accessible to underrepresented individuals and nonprofit organizations.
