She takes pride in showing their successes as models for women’s accomplishments in today’s fast paced, technology-savvy world. In her show, she gives women a glimpse at the variety of jobs and careers available to them as well as giving viewers the opportunity to meet some of the women who have succeeded in these careers.
Carolyn Bruna has been hosting It’s A Woman’s World since 2005. She is passionate about interviewing women who have gone above and beyond to contribute to the community.
By asking her guests for tips for other women interested in pursuing these fields, Carolyn provides the viewer with take-aways that they can learn from, think about, and many times, implement. On It’s A Woman’s World, Carolyn has interviewed a wide variety of guests from the fields of business, entrepreneurship, science, culture, fine arts, culinary arts, religion, activism, volunteerism, government and the non-profit sector.
In 2010 when Carolyn was President of “Women Business Owners of Montgomery County,” she founded The Power Conference for Women’s Business Development. She brought together women from Maryland, Virginia and DC to create this annual event, which brings education, visibility, and networking to entrepreneurial women. Through the years The Power Conference has become the largest regional Women’s Business Development Conference in the Washington, DC area. Her motto for this event is Ralph W. Sockman’s quote, “What makes greatness is starting something that lives after you.”
Carolyn is also passionate about caregiving. She cared for her mom for over 10 years, and from this experience and much research and study, she founded her business, Caregiving Consultants. Carolyn is a Corporate Trainer who presents seminars and webinars for Corporations and Government Agencies in the Washington Metropolitan Area on Caregiving Topics. She speaks and writes on topics such as balancing work life, family life, and caregiving responsibilities, that lessen stress as well as the topic of Caring for the Caregiver. She helps the caregiver to forge deep bonds of love, joy, and fulfillment that develop from a caregiving relationship.
