As the 2018 elections approach, the Montgomery County Democratic Party is hard at work. Their office in Kensington has been busy fundraising, organizing, and spreading the word about their candidates. Indeed, they are especially focused on Marc Elrich’s County Executive race and Ben Jealous’s gubernatorial race.
This week, Inside Out’s host, Pat Smith, interviewed Scott Goldberg, the Chair of Montgomery County’s Democratic Party. Goldberg spoke to Smith about the party’s enthusiasm for Elrich and other democratic candidates. Additionally, Goldberg spoke about the party’s efforts to rally Montgomery County residents to support democratic candidates by voting, volunteering, and donating to their cause.
Overall, the interview offers an inside look about the behind the scenes process of establishing a competitive political campaign at the local level.
The full episode of Smith’s interview with Goldberg will air on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 9 PM on MMCTV, Channel 16. On Thursday, October 25 at 7:30 PM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (October 26 – 28) at 7:30 PM, the episode with re-air.
