On The Art Scene, Lila Snow talks about her favorite columnist, Dana Milbank from The Washington Post. After she read a column about his Bubbe’s Yiddish words and an article about what if Trump was in Charge of the Manhattan Project she was intrigued. She thought of her Bubbe, who sat in the window on E. 17th Street in Brooklyn, New York and made comments about life and had some wise sayings. Like, “It’s better to have an old car and a young husband, then a young car and an old husband.” Lila also shares some Yiddish words, like Kvetch which means complain.
Lila has her guilty pleasure shows she enjoys to kvetch about. 19 Kids & Counting who is off the air now and Sister Wives that air on TLC. Lila talks about them both celebrating their larger number of children, how the family’s main function is to produce children, and the lifestyles of these families.
