On the latest episode of Women’s World, host Carolyn Bruna is joined by Iranian artist Mitra Mortazavi Lore known for her sculptures that reflect her passion for peace. Hear her story, beginning in Tehran, then earning a degree in Political Science, starting out as a collage artist, and finally moving into metalwork.
In the early 1990’s, Lore founded Mideast 2000, a non-profit dedicated to peace and human rights in the middle east by the year 2000. She was awarded the National Capital Area “Peacemaker of the Year” in 1995, and has since focused on promoting peace and understanding through her artwork.
