Get a feel for the Kensington Antique Row charm with this Spotlight series feature on Goldsborough Glynn Classic Furnishings & Finds. The relatively large antique store on Howard Avenue sells furniture, mirrors, lighting, and other eye-catching home decor items that are all hand-picked by the co-owners, sisters Margaret Goldsborough and Susan Goldsborough Glynn.
Unlike other antique stores on the row, this is not a consignment shop–the sisters pride themselves on the art of curating timeless and well-made items. They also add “set designers” to their credentials, having sourced items for the show House of Cards and film Jackie.
The sisters promote the idea that buying high-quality antique home furnishings is one of the best forms of recycling, and combats the problems of “fast furniture” that can quickly end up in the dump. They also value repurposing, as seen in their items like bud vases made from vintage silverware and a variety of upcycled jewelry.
Goldsborough Glynn is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30AM-5:30PM, and on Sunday from noon – 5:30PM. Watch to learn more, and visit antiquerowsisters.com to see what’s in store.
