On this episode of Solutions, host Cheryl Hawkins is joined by Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC) Executive Director, Chloe Bernardi, and Director of Program Services, Mathew Saunders. Rebuilding Together is a national nonprofit organization that repairs homes for those in-need, with a focus on making homes safe and healthy. From roof repairs to accessibility improvements, the organization is not only repairing homes but also rebuilding lives.
RTMC was established in 1990, helping the county’s most vulnerable residents that also face rising cost of living. They have served over 3,000 homeowners including seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, families with children, and members of marginalized communities, all living in low-income households. RTMC maintains a small full-time staff while galvanizing more than 50,000 volunteers over the past 30+ years in repair projects.
