Elijah Howard is a psychotherapist at integrative healing arts. He often uses mindfulness meditation as a starting point for his psycho therapy sessions. During these stressful uncertain times a technique like mindfulness can be helpful in facing our fears and overcoming anxiety.
Elijah is a graduate of the Loyola Pastoral Counseling program and a Certified Facilitator of the Circle of Security Parent Training Program. Since 2007, he has immersed himself in experiencing and understanding mindful awareness for clinical use and general well-being. He has worked with adolescents and adults in crisis, mentored parents, and combines evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions with the
teachings of wisdom traditions. He is called to spread the gift of mindful awareness to the community to bring forth greater clarity and connection. Currently, he works at Integrative Healing Arts (iharts) in Columbia providing meditation groups and psychotherapy for adolescents, adults and couples as well as working with children and parents at the Lourie Center in Rockville, MD.
