There are always many was to contact Social Security and now, during a pandemic. Offices are currently open, but on a case by case basis. Your local office will determine if your case qualifies, but you can check online to help determine if you should call and see if you possibly qualify to make an appointment. There are still many other was to communicate and get information you need.
I needed my Social Security card earlier this year and because of Diana and the show, I had registered previously for My Social Security and was able to easily obtain a replacement card. When you create an account you have access to your Social Security information, like the estimate of your life’s salary before taxes. You can change your address or check your employment history for accuracy too. It will be easier to fix sooner than later and it helps to prepare for retirement. You can also call 1.800.772.1213, press 7 for Spanish, 8am-7pm a representative is available, but some services are also available 24 hours a day .
Social Security is in English and Spanish on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. They are also in English on Instagram and on the Blog which is an excellent method of information of short articles you can read in a few minutes and include links for additional information in needed. You can register for the blog and you will receive it every other week, but currently with the new administration there have been a lot of changes, so the blog is weekly currently.
