Vertigo is the feeling of abnormal movement, usually spinning, and is categorized as central vertigo which stems from the brain or peripheral vertigo which stems from the inner ear.

An acoustic neuroma is a rare, noncancerous tumor that grows on the nerve that connects the ear to the brain and affects hearing and balance.
