Tonight at 7:30pm, Nira Berry explores the topic of medical cannabis on her show “Happy & Healthy.” Berry speaks to three cannabis professionals about the uses of cannabis, the history of medical cannabis, and Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Commission‘s initiatives.
Dr. Mikhail Kogan, the Medical Director for George Washington University’s Center for Integrative Medicine, and the Founder of AIM Health Institute started treating patients with medical cannabis after studying under Dr. Donald Abrams.
Shortly thereafter, Kogan noticed many of his patients inquiring about medical cannabis for different ailments ranging from symptoms as serious as cancer to chronic pain. Kogan listened to his patients, learned that cannabis was helping them, and starting researching its medical uses.
Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Commission offers community members ways to access medical cannabis. Jennifer B. White, the Director of Communications for MMCC explains to Nira the process for Maryland residents to access cannabis.
Rabbi James Kahn also spoke with Nira about his experience working as the Director for Liberty Cannabis Dispensary in Rockville, MD.
