While recreation and senior centers remain closed their are other options available for residents including outdoor classes, virtual classes, playgrounds, pools and aquatic centers. Montgomery County Recreation Program Manager, Carmen Berrios Martinez spoke with MMC about how residents can take advantage of these programs this summer.
Rec Room is a virtual recreation hub for residents to enjoy from home.
Montgomery County Recreation has realized that it can be challenging to stay fit and creative during this time, so they’ve created some exciting ways to do all things Rec while you’re home. Here you’ll find DIY arts & crafts, fitness videos, virtual classes, trips, tours and fun recreational ideas for any age.
There are paid virtual classes and a list of free activities for all age groups. Just visit mocorec.com/recroom, choose a virtual class and register in ActiveMontgomery, or view the free activities.
