In this program, learn about Historic Property Preservation in Montgomery County. This event is geared towards property owners living in a Historic District (including Kensington’s Historic District) as well as anyone interested in learning about historic districts and why they are significant.
Hear from a panel of experts answer questions about Historic Districts; explain what is involved in applying for a Montgomery County Historic Area Work Permit (HAWP) and when it is required; and how tax credits can reduce the cost of maintaining a historic district property, whether the building is considered historically significant or not.
