In honor of the upcoming Juneteenth holiday, Kensington Juneteenth hosted a Movie Night, screening “Finding Fellowship” by Director Jason Green. The documentary tells the story of three segregated churches in Quince Orchard, Maryland, that merge into one congregation following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Kensington Juneteenth founder Jamie Boston hopes this is the first of many Movie Nights that the organization holds as part of the larger Kensington Juneteenth Celebration. This year’s celebration will be held at St. Paul’s Park in Kensington, Maryland on June 15th from 12-4PM.
