All throughout the world, including earlier this month in Washington, DC, residents have joined together from the comforts of their homes to thank healthcare workers with a round of applause.
Last Friday, April 17th at 6:00pm, residents from the Town of Somerset held their own celebration “Clap Because We Care” to honor those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. This town-wide event which lasted just five minutes was sparked by Somerset town resident Jill Herscot. Aside from offering the well-deserved thanks to the healthcare workers in their neighborhood and around the world, it was a nice opportunity to wave hello to their neighbors they hadn’t seen in a while and come together as a town.
