Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services (DPS) is providing free deck inspections for single family detached homes, townhomes and duplexes throughout the month of May as part of its celebration of Building Safety Month.
It’s not too late to schedule your deck inspection. Montgomery County residents, with the exception of City of Gaithersburg and City of Rockville residents (because the municipalities have their own permitting departments), should call 3-1-1 or 240-777-0311, between now and May 31, to schedule their free deck inspection. The inspections will include a Deck Maintenance Checklist. All requests received during the month of May will be honored.
