On the latest episode of MoCo Pride, Phillip Alexander Downie takes viewers to meet Cory Van Horn the Marketing Director for Visit Montgomery. Visit Montgomery is destination marketing organization that promotes the county through highlighting it’s art, entertainment, attractions, and historical sites for visitors to explore.
First they visit The Henri at Pike & Rose. This residence is located in the center of of it all in North Bethesda. Phillip & Cory relax in one of their shared spaces and make some cocktails as they discuss some of Montgomery County’s vibrant spots to visit. A few of Cory’s favorite Happy Hour spots include, Clyde’s at Tower Oaks Lodge, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant and Canopy by Hilton, were we visited next.
There are a variety of places to experience like Breweries, Wineries, Concert Venues, and Museums. Or discover the outdoors hiking on the Billy Goat trail or many others at Sugar Loaf Mountain. Check out The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park, which rivals the Grand Canyon in visitations.
One of the hidden treasures most people don’t know about is the 93,000 acres of Agricultural Reserve that was created in 1980 by the Montgomery County Council who wanted to preserve farm land and rural space in the northwestern part of the county.
