More Than a Month of Montgomery County Activities
Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will spend more than four weeks spreading its messages to help protect the environment and lower energy costs. The opening event of the celebration will be on Saturday, Sept. 28, with the first of five free “Energy Roadshow” events at the Lincoln Park Community Center in Rockville.
Energy Roadshows are events that will help answer all types of question on how to lower energy usage and save money. At every roadshow, there will be experts providing brief presentations on energy-saving programs of various scales, including efficient appliances, electric vehicles, home energy audits, solar installations and energy assistance opportunities. Information also will be available on energy-related scams that have had an increasing presence in the Washington area.
