Montgomery County Recreation (MCR) will be extending its Friday and Saturday hours at five of their community recreation centers beginning on July 5th. The five community recreation centers include: East County, Good Hope, Long Branch, Plum Gar and White Oak.
As of July 5, the five centers will be open on Friday and Saturday during the following hours:
East County (Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring
Good Hope (Friday and Saturday, noon – 11 p.m.)
14715 Good Hope Road, Silver Spring
Long Branch (Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring
Plum Gar (Friday, 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
19561 Scenery Drive, Germantown
White Oak (Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.)
1700 April Lane, Silver Spring
MCR hopes that by extending the hours of their community recreation centers it will allow the community to continue gathering in safe places and enjoy the programs and activities that MCR offers. The new community recreation center in Wheaton, which is scheduled to open later this year, will also have extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays.
