Those who have friends or family with opioid addictions are encouraged to register for free training to learn about Naloxone a prescription medication that is used to temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Participants who complete the training will receive a free Naloxone kit, tips on overdose prevention, and resources detailing local and national resources.
The training will take place on Tuesday, August 27th at the Department of Health and Human Services: 401 Hungerford Drive, Rockville. The training will last for about an hour and a half on staring at 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.
The training is free but registration is required. Participants are required to register by email or phone: OverdoseResponseProgram@montgomerycountymd.gov or 240-777-1836.
