County Executive Marc Elrich, President of Montgomery College Dr. DeRionne Pollard, and Congressman David Trone. These were just a few people in attendance, that spoke about their personal experiences and hopes for the future of the LGBTQ+ Community in Montgomery County.This year the Progress flag was raised, which includes stripes to highlight trans individuals and communities of color-for whom much progress remains to be made. “What began as a reboot of the Pride Flag, has evolved into the Progress Initiative. A message and movement, giving back to those most in need within our community. What this initiative aims to do is provide funding to organizations and charities that directly affect the lives of trans people of color, and some of the most marginalized individuals within our community. When a “Progress Initiative” product is sold within the store, a portion of the profits will go towards these donations.” – Daniel Quasar, Creator of the Progress Pride Flag

Come celebrate Puppy Pride at Bark Social with the PAWrade this Saturday June 12th 11am-4pm!!! Let’s show your Puppy Pride with costumes for the puppies and their hoomans! Bark Social is a unique new experiential beer garden and coffee house for dogs and their hooman friends. Montgomery County Council member Evan Glass and Bark Social will create an elaborate rainbow-filled canine festival of pride and paws. They are expecting some of the most colorful outfits and real tail-waggin’ fun!
