This week on a new episode of The Next Word, Lesli A. Creedon, the President and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic Chapter talks about the local chapter and her sons experience as a Wish Kid and how the experience changed their lives. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish® has enriched the lives of children with critical illnesses. This year will be the 40th Anniversary of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Mid-Atlantic chapter just celebrated its 10,000th wish. In the interview we hear the story behind how the foundation was started and about the different types of wishes they grant every year.
During the program Jack Creedon, a wish kid who was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 11 talks about what his wish was and what it meant to him and his family.
