Tonight at 7:30pm watch a new episode of Happy & Healthy with guest Jennifer Bires, Executive Director of the Smith Center for Healing and the Arts. A community program designed to mostly help people impacted by cancer. There is a number of programs that center around the arts and the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery specifically designed to incorporate artist that use healing in their arts.
Smith Center’s major focus is Cancer Programs, Patient Navigation, and Arts & Healing. Cancer programs are for adults living with cancer and their care givers. Patient Navigation contains elements of psychosocial support, experiential instruction, and holistic practices while including more traditional navigation strategies. Smith Center has become a leader in the nationwide movement to promote the use of the arts in healing.
