Up to 80% of how we age is up to lifestyle. Exercise has more benefits in more categories in your life than any other single thing you can do. Exercise is the biggest factor in how we age and how our brain ages.
Between the ages of 20-80, the average person looses 50% of their leg strength. We are loosing muscle, not because we are aging, but because we do not exercise and/or move less and less each year. You can test your leg strength by doing the sit to stand test. Cross your arms across your chest and stand up. If you have to use your hands to stand up, then you are losing muscle mass. Strength Training Exercise is the way to build muscle mass and its never too late to get stronger.
