Council President Katz says he has several chief priorities for the year ahead. These include continuing to make Montgomery County more business friendly and generating employment opportunities that bring well-paying jobs to the County. He hopes to build on his joint 4Business initiative with County Executive Marc Elrich, which aims to engage the local business community in a grassroots campaign to assist businesses to locate, grow and prosper in Montgomery County. Katz states hes “proud that we at the Council have adopted a new County Economic Development Platform that emphasizes innovation, sustainability and diversity in the investments we as a County make in our economy. As president I will continue to work with our local business community and with businesses that would like to relocate here. A strong economy and growing tax base are the foundations upon which a thriving community is built and sustained.”
